How much does a website cost?
Launch price for our first 5 clients: Starter website: Launch price $599. Price after launch: $799. Business website: Launch price $1,199. Price after launch: $1,499. Custom sites start at $2,500. Plus your own domain, about $15-25 a year, paid to the registrar. See the Pricing page.
Do you add HST?
No. I'm a small business, so I don't charge HST. The price you see is the price you pay.
How do I pay?
50% deposit to start, the rest at launch. Website projects over $1,000? Pay over 3 months. Interac e-Transfer to payment@steventaylor.ca, or card by Square invoice. Questions? Email hello@honestlocalweb.ca.
Who owns my website?
You do. Your domain, your site and your files are in your name.
Is hosting extra?
No. Hosting is free on Cloudflare, in your own account. You just pay for your domain, about $15-25 a year. I set it up.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Monthly plans cancel any time.
What if I want to leave?
I hand everything over for free. No fees, no hard feelings.
Will my site get hacked?
Your site is built to be very hard to hack, and backed up daily. If something goes wrong, I can bring it back.
How long does it take?
Logo: about 1 week. Brand Kit: about 2 weeks. Starter: 1-2 weeks. Business: 2-3 weeks. Startup Bundle: 3-4 weeks. That includes waiting for your photos and words.
What do I need to send you?
Your logo (if you have one) and a few words about your business. Photos: if you're local, book a shoot and I'll take them. Or send your own. I send a simple checklist. I can help write the words.
I don't have a logo. Can you help?
Yes. Logo: Launch price $249. Price after launch: $349. Or get the Startup Bundle.
Can you take photos for my website?
Yes, if you're in Chatham-Kent or Windsor-Essex. Headshots add-on: $180 (1-2 people). Brand Shoot add-on: $795 (up to 3 hours). Not local? I send a simple guide for taking good photos on your phone.
How many changes can I ask for before launch?
Starter website: 2 rounds of changes. Business website and Startup Bundle: 3 rounds. Extra changes are $25 each (under 30 minutes).
Can I edit my site myself?
Sites are hand-built, so you send changes to me. The Care plan ($49/month) includes 2 small edits a month. Extra small edits: $25 each (under 30 minutes). Bigger changes are quoted.
Will I show up on Google?
Every Starter site includes Google Business Profile setup and basic SEO. No one honest can promise #1.
What is AI search?
More people ask ChatGPT or Google's AI answers for ideas. AI search setup helps those tools find and suggest your business.
Where do you work?
In person in Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex. Online anywhere in Canada.
